Where is Sumits Hot Yoga studio located?
We are located at 610 E. Battlefield Suite E and F.  We are just east of Ocean Zen and just behind Fast Signs. You can park directly in front of our studio, on the right side of the studio, facing Battlefield in front of the UPS store, and also in the parking spots behind the Chinese Restaurant directly next to our studio.

How old do I need to be to take class?
We welcome all students at Sumit Hot Yoga, however, if you are under the age of 18 you must have a parent or legal guardian sign for you. If you are under the age of 15, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the yoga room (It's fun to take yoga as a family, and we do offer family plan pricing!)

What method of payment do you accept.
We take Checks, Cash, Visa, Master Card (both credit and debit card) and Discover Card.

What should I bring with me to class?
Please bring your yoga mat, a towel, an open mind and a positive attitude!  If you do not yet have a yoga mat or a towel we sell and rent them at the studio.

How long are the classes?
Classes last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.  Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled start time to register.

How often should I practice my yoga?
We recommend practicing 4-5 times per week to obtain the maximum benefits.  You will receive the same benefits with a reduced practice schedule - just in a longer period of time.

What should I wear?
Lightweight, breathable, and comfortable clothing is reccommended. Men are generally most comfortable in shorts, bathing suits and T-Shirts.  Women usually wear sports bras, tank tops, shorts, leotards or bathing suits.  When deciding on how to dress remember you will be sweating, so dress accordingly ... but be comfortable!

I am both older and not very flexible.  Is yoga for me?
ABSOLUTELY!  Yoga is for people of all ages and for people with all ranges of flexibility.  There can be unlimited benefits to people of all ages and flexibility who correctly practice yoga.

"Basketball is an endurance sport, and you have to learn to control your breath; that's the essence of yoga, too.  So, I consciously began using yoga techniques in my practice and playing.  I think yoga helped reduce the number and severity of injuries I suffered.  As preventative medicine, it's unequaled".  ~Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
